You can take the boy out of Chicago but you can’t take Chicago out of the boy. Born and raised on the west side of Chicago, I got the blues at an early age. Frequenting many of Chicago’s blues clubs.

Got my start with the Son Seals Blues Band at the Queen Bee Lounge on the south side. After moving to the San Francisco Bay area I became a D.J. at K.A.L.X. 90.7 F.M. at U.C. Berkeley with a spot called the “Blues Plate Special” w/ Slow-Mo, my radio name at the time. The show aired four years.

Since then, I've been playing the blues with Luther Tucker, Cool Papa, Johnny Mars, Mississippi Johnny Waters, Freddie Roulette, J. J. Malone, and Tommy Castro to name but a few.

Most recently, playing the Delta Blues Festival with Johnny Nitro and the Door Slammers featuring Freddie Roulette and Kenny Blue Ray. My biggest guitar influences are Luther Tucker, Albert Collins, Muddy Waters, Magic Sam and Buddy Guy.

I use exclusivley Fender equipment. All my guitars are Telecasters. My favorite being a Thinline type 2. My favorite Fender tube amps are a Deluxe Reverb and a Super Reverb. My acoustic guitars are metal body Dobro's.

My latest musical incarnation is called Pepper's Bad Blues Habits .
